Job Skills / Requirements

Duties: 

  • Oversee the daily departmental operations. 
  • Provide oversight to nurse practitioners, social workers, community health workers, and administrative staff under their supervision by meeting on a periodic basis and delivering constructive feedback regarding overall performance. Develop, implement, or revise patient treatment plans with the patient as required per state regulation and record a review of the patient’s progress according to PDCHC policy.   
  • Facilitate referrals for clinically indicated services outside of PDCHC (e.g., social services such as housing assistance, vocational rehabilitation, mental health specialty care, substance use disorder treatment).  
  • Build relationships and collaborate with leadership, staff, and clinicians to deliver quality patient care. 
  • Work alongside leadership to meet the strategic goals & priorities of the agency. 
  • Participates in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for new or open positions.  
  • Creates departmental new hire orientation and assists with employee performance reviews of social work staff. 
  • Maintain patient records that are complete, comprehensive, and well organized.  
  • Handle client complaints and concerns & monitor overall client satisfaction with clinical care. 
  • Attend agency meetings and trainings. 
  • Ensure compliance with privacy laws and other medical regulations.

    Education Requirements (Any)

    Master degree in nursing; Completion of a Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner's Program

Certification Requirements (All)

CPR Certification
Current Nurse Practitioner certification.
