Job Skills / Requirements

Position Summary:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing all of Park DuValle's fundraising activities including an annual fund, capital campaign, planned giving and major gift programs, and fundraising events.  Works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising efforts.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with the CEO to set annual monetary goals and budgets according to short- and long-term goals.
  • Establishes fundraising objectives for the organization including one year, three year, and longer-term goals.
  • Networks and maintains regular correspondence with potential financial donors including corporations, foundations, and individuals.
  • Conducts proactive donor cultivation and stewardship planning and execution.
  • Produces informative fundraising literature, newsletters, annual reports and social media content for distribution to previous donors and the public.
  • Implements annual fundraising plan to meet fundraising goals.
  • Plans and monitors fundraising events including capital and other major fundraising campaigns.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports on progress towards fundraising goals.
  • Plans and executes special events.
  • Researches potential sources of, and applies for, grants and other funding.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and personal transportation to travel between center locations, fundraising and special events.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong prospect identification and qualification skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading ability
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Database and spreadsheet proficiency
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with online fundraising, email marketing, and internet research

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education Requirements (Any)

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field.
Five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising. This includes experience in major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.
