Job Skills / Requirements
Starting wages: $16.03 - $17.36 hourly. Will educate and inform individuals of health insurance options and insurance affordability programs through Kentucky's Health Benefit Exchange. Will assist with enrolling qualified individuals/families in health insurance plans through Kynect Benefits and/or Kynect Health Coverage. Will assist with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and/or the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) application process and schedule follow-up appointments with the Department for Community Based Services. Will conduct public education activities and community outreach to raise awareness of health plan availability and eligibility. Travel/valid driver's license is required. A criminal background check is required. Working 40 hours per week. This project is funded, in part, under a contract with Community Action of Kentucky with funds from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
An associate degree or one year of related experience is required. A bachelor’s degree with public speaking experience is preferred. Must obtain and maintain required certification and successfully complete required training.
