This position will be located at our Main Office - 3620 Fern Valley Road 40219

Monday - Friday 8:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Improve overall employee effectiveness/performance through the application of individual and group training techniques and programs, consistent with the Credit Union’s organizational priorities.

Job Skills / Requirements

Major Duties & Responsibilites:

  • Develop, implement, and conduct on-going training programs that support the growth and direction of the Credit Union with a primary focus on Sales and Service training, Management and Leadership development.
  • Conduct Credit Union wide training as needed or required; working with individual managers in their departments to assist them with training needs including the use of computers and software. Mentor and support the High School Branch Coordinators as they train the students participating in the Class Act Academies. Assist HR in the orientation and training of new and transferring employees.
  • Evaluate and assist in designing/updating training manuals and related materials along with training class procedures. Work closely with Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Communicate properly with all employees to ensure positive and clear understanding of the credit union goals and direction through training.  Assist with and/or conduct seminars and workshops on new products, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate arrangements for speakers coming into the Credit Union and assist with and/or formulate training outline and determine instructional methods, utilizing individual training, group instructions, demonstrations, and workshops. Select or develop training aids such as handbooks, visual aids, and tutorials.
  • Track the progress of trainees through routine tests, observation, and feedback from supervisors; evaluate the effectiveness of the current training. Maintain knowledge of credit union software systems involved in the training process. Complete required reports and documents; maintain training records for staff including CPD on-line, assessment scores, offsite training attendance, etc. 
Knowledge & Skills:

Experience: Three to five years of similar or related training experience desired. Symitar (Episys) experience strongly preferred.

Education: A bachelor’s degree is preferred or formal training certification.        

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to professionalism, courtesy, and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Must be a team player and actively contribute to complete tasks, meet goals, and manage projects. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Other Skills: Requires excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, coaching, and creativity skills. Must be adaptable to change and have an enthusiasm for learning. Possess strong organizational skills, initiative, and ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, computer applications, and navigating the internet. Neatness in appearance, punctuality, dependability, attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy. Must be bondable.
