Job Summary/Purpose
The Finance Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of Harrison Memorial Hospital’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable processes. This role develops financial strategies, manages budgets, and partners with executive leadership to support the hospital’s mission, long-term goals, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
· Direct and oversee Finance Department operations, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
· Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, internal controls, and reporting processes.
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for leadership and the Board.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as audit standards.
· Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk.
· Supervise and mentor Finance staff, fostering professional development and accountability.
· Collaborate with department leaders to support financial planning and cost control initiatives.
· Serve as a key liaison with auditors, banks, and external financial partners.
· Participate in hospital-wide committees, strategic planning, and decision-making.
Role Minimum Qualifications
Required Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Healthcare Financial Experience, 3-5 years
· Strong knowledge of healthcare financial regulations, accounting principles, and reimbursement systems.
· Demonstrated leadership and staff development skills.
· Advanced proficiency in financial systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and payroll/accounting applications.
· Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· CPA
