Job Skills / Requirements

Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist performs examinations according to established protocols set forth by the medical director. The MRI Technologists demonstrates an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The MRI Technologists maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and imaging technique. The MRI Technologists maintains knowledge and awareness of high magnetic field strength safety. The MRI Technologist will prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy and procedure as well as state and federal regulations.

Required Education, Skills, and/or Abilities:
·         Registered (or Registry Eligible) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and maintains a current state license.
·         MR registry for lead technologist position required.
·         Current BLS certification.
·         Effective communication.
·         General knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
·         Ability to learn and work with all electronic records including PACS and RIS/HIS.
