Job Skills / Requirements

Job Summary:

The Network Analyst’s role is to support and maintain the stable operation of the in-house computer network, including desktops, servers and peripherals. This includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, repairing, maintaining and optimizing all network hardware, software for optimal performance. The analyst will also troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The analyst will provide end user training and support where required.  The analyst will be responsible for all server updates and backup procedures on a daily/monthly basis and ensure the recovery of deleted data in the event of a disaster. 

Required Education, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
  • MCSE or MCSA Certification or Certification eligible (class work completed).
  • Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems and familiarity with Active Directory.
  • 2 years of experience in an IT environment with troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of hospital security and privacy standards (HIPPA)
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
  • Ability to conduct research into PC/Network issues and products as required.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Self motivated and directed as well as keen attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
 

Education Requirements (Any)

College/University Degree in Computer Science

Certification Requirements (Any)

MCSE or MCSA Certification or Certification eligible (class work completed)
