Job Skills / Requirements

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for management of our Cardiac Cath Lab, 6 bed ICU, and Cardiac Observation Units.
This position will have responsibility for the overall operations of the nursing units to include financial performance, service quality, clinical outcomes, quality improvement, employee satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. 
The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hours/7-days a week accountability for planning, supervising, and evaluating the care of patients to ensure comprehensive and continuous care for each patient/family. This involves management and responsibilities for personnel for patient care.
The position requires skill in interpersonal communication, group dynamics, problem solving, delegation, interviewing, observation, counseling and teaching. The Nurse Manager must exhibit the ability to enhance the practice environment and professional development of nursing which is critical to the recruitment and retention of registered nurses.
The Nurse Manager must evaluate personnel, assess the environment, and determine priorities for care in order to plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes of care. The Nurse Manager must function effectively in stressful situations.
 
Job Duties:
-Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Cath Lab and Intensive Care Unit
-Lead and mentor the team of healthcare professionals 
-Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
-Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care and workflow.
-Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives. 
-Ensure patient safety and satisfaction through continuous monitoring and feedback.
-Collaborate with Professional Development to provide ongoing education and training for staff in the Cath Lab and ICU
 
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Arrhythmia 
Required Education: BSN
Previous Cath Lab or ICU experience required with a minimum of 2 years in leadership
