Job Skills / Requirements
Job Summary:
Responsible for the processing of assigned accounts. Contacts the payer on claims where delayed or incorrect payments are a problem. Assists with filing of remittances, referrals, and other forms needed within the office. Files secondary claims after primary payer payment has been received. Maintains confidentiality of all information. Attends meetings as needed
Required Education, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred with emphasis in office procedures.
- Uses proper grammar and exhibits good communication skills.
- Computer knowledge and key boarding experience.
- Performs basic math calculations.
- Ability to create friendly, cooperative atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff members.
- Experience in healthcare billing required

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
