Job Skills / Requirements
Job Summary:
• Screens and refers all incoming calls and department visitors.
• Schedules patients for care and evaluation appointments in Rehab Services/Wellness programs.
• Assembles and maintains medical records for Rehab Services.
• Assists with insurance authorization for patient entrance into program.
• Sends appropriate correspondence to physicians (i.e., evaluations, reassessments, discharge letter.)
• Requires the patient/representative to sign consent for treatment, release of information, and assignment of benefits when appropriate.
• Works directly with physician’s office staff to coordinate obtaining of required pre-authorization for outpatients.
• Knowledge in obtaining insurance information and appropriate authorization.
Required Education, Skills, and/or Abilities:
• High school education or equivalent.
• Prior experience preferred but training may be on the job.
• Excellent customer service skills.

This job reports to the Department Manager
This is a Full-Time position 1st Shift, Monday - Friday: 7:30a - 4p.
Relocation is not provided and travel is not required
