Overview

The Management Assistant is based in the office of the Jefferson County Clerk (JCC) and is required to make occasional trips throughout the service area. The incumbent provides clerical and administrative support to the Division Director. The incumbent performs clerical work of significant difficulty.

Job Skills / Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
1. Greets and directs the public to the appropriate area
2. Answers questions from callers and directs calls appropriately
3. Schedules appointments, meetings, speaking engagements and makes travel arrangements 
4. Assists in researching and preparing data for reports
5. Reviews drafts for correspondence 
6. Prepares correspondence
7. Maintains records and files
8. Maintains inventory on office supplies
9. Assists with special projects as required
10. Performs other duties as assigned by the Division Director
 

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Desirable Qualifications

 1. Knowledge of land record transactions


 
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
 
The work is primarily administrative in nature. It may require some travel. It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. The work at times requires bending, squatting, reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights.
