We provide help and create hope for the poor and vulnerable through a wide range of programs, assisting clients of all races, backgrounds and beliefs. Our service area includes 24 counties throughout Central Kentucky.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
This role works directly with individuals and families in crisis by accessing appropriate community resources and/or referral to appropriate CCL resources. This role serves as the primary staff person responsible for operations of the Fr. Jack Jones Food Pantry (FJJFP). This position also provides support for the Sister Visitor Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
Intake, Referral, Case Management
- Receive general phone calls for assistance and walk-ins by people in crisis; assess needs and provide referrals and case management services as necessary.
- Respond to Unite Us, parish-based requests, and inter-agency referrals for case management services; assess needs and provide referrals, as necessary.
- Assess clients for eligibility for CCL programs and direct aid resources and assist them in completing applications for those services.
- Thoroughly and accurately document interview information, assessment, and assistance given to clients in the Client Track database and other data collection tools.
- Assist with distributing resources to clients.
- Work closely with Volunteer and In-Kind Coordinator to manage FSS in-kind donations by receiving, documenting, valuing, and keeping an inventory of items.
- Continually research new community resources and connect with these resources to streamline referrals and inform other service providers about CCL.
- Finalize Lifeline application and Manage Lifeline Budget.
- Assists with FJJFP grants.
- Lead tours and conversation on FJJP with donors.
- Manage CSS in-kind donations and documentation.
- Supervise community referral and direct aid callers.
Food Pantry -
- Maintain monthly food supply based on Fr. Jack Jones inventory protocols and community needs.
- Receive food and obtain invoices from food banks and/or grocery stores; with assistance from the Volunteer and In-Kind Coordinator, receive and record food donations.
- Record monthly food data and manage monthly food bank reports.
- Stock the front pantry so that there is sufficient food on shelves.
- Manage the food distribution process with the help of staff and volunteers.
- Orient food bank volunteers with tasks to be done for food distributions.
- Ensure that CCL COVID Safety Protocols are followed to manage clients’ entry/exit from pantry.
- When needed, act as a personal shopper and help clients to choose healthier food options.
- Complete intakes for new pantry clients and update client information in the agency database as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to lift heavy items (may be lifting large donations and other items like cribs)
Education Requirements (All)
High school graduation or GED certificate. Bachelor’s degree in a social science field preferred but can be substituted for years of experience.
