POSITION SUMMARY: Individual has overall site-responsibility for heavy industrial civil and structural projects.  The Site Manager is responsible for safety, efficiency, and productivity of the work and manages vendors, subcontractors, and field staff throughout the project.  Individual serves as deputy to the Project Manager and has responsibilities for Estimating, Change Management, and Project Compliance.  Typical on-site teams of 20 to 70 personnel with focus on earthwork, heavy foundations, structural steel, and/or warehousing for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, and Renewables industries. Individual must have a strong technical background and proficiency in various project management software systems. 

JOB DUTIES:
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, properly, productively and on time.
  • Plan and coordinate the work with the Project Manager and client representatives.
  • Implement the project budget.  Responsible for coordination of on-site resources to meet budget, forecasting change impacts, and managing budget risks.  
  • Implement project schedule.  Responsible for Look-ahead and medium-term planning to meet project schedule.  Responsible for coordination of on-site resources to meet schedule, forecasting change impacts, and mitigating schedule risks.  
  • Facilitate Change Management.  Ensure compliance with contractual Change Management requirements. Estimate and negotiate contract changes in coordination with the PM.  Forecast and document schedule impacts and negotiate schedule accommodations.
  • Research, develop, and track Request for Information (RFI) and submittal documentation.
  • Track and manage labor productivity, materials, and vendor & subcontractor performance.
  • Implement the site-specific safety program and ensure compliance with Kelley, client and OSHA safety rules and procedures.
  • Implement the project-specific quality plan and ensure compliance with the quality system.
  • Ensure work complies with subcontracts, procedures, and directives.
  • Review project drawings and specifications to ensure subcontractor, material and equipment compliance and identify potential document conflicts.
  • Maintain clear and accurate project documentation, such as reports, RFIs, meeting minutes, program compliance audits, schedules, and drawings.
  • All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5 years supervisory experience in an industrial or commercial construction environment.
  • 10 years industrial construction experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, and/or Renewables.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction processes and procedures for earthwork, concrete, and structural steel.  Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings and MEP a plus.
  • Able to manage multiple subcontractors, sub-projects, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Able to read, interpret and execute construction drawings, specifications and workplans. 
  • Proficient with survey and survey tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat, and Procore Financials or other web-based construction budgeting platforms.
  • Eligible for Transportation Worker Industry Card (TWIC) from the Department of Homeland Security.
  • OSHA 30-hr.
  • Flexible and able to travel (up to 100%).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Individual will be required to lift, bend, climb, stoop, and work around moving machinery, dust, and fumes.  Must have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, view computer monitors and use a keyboard.  The ability to walk large job sites and buildings at every phase of construction.  Inclement weather conditions and traversing rough terrain can be expected while on the job site.
