Job Skills / Requirements

Sunstates Security is hiring a Proposal Specialist for our corporate headquarters located in Raleigh, NC.  The Proposal Specialist will support the Proposal Manager and Marketing Department while assisting the corporate sales team. They will help produce sales and marketing proposals and materials and perform some administrative functions. This fast-growing, industry-leading professional services corporation operates throughout the country and employs over 5,000 employees.

In addition to a competitive annual salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 - (DOE) - this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, 401k plan with company match, generous PTO allowance and more!

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    
  • Work with the Proposal Manager to prepare proposals and presentations for clients and prospective customers.
  • Respond to detailed RFIs and RFPs in soft and hard copy formats as well as online portals.       
  • Consult with regional teams to create QBRs for clients.
  • Keep regional and corporate organizational charts up to date. 
  • Design and produce a bi-monthly company newsletter.
  • Support the marketing team in completing miscellaneous tasks when needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLSETS DESIRED

  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Creative Writing, English or a Business-related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a proposal writing, sales support or administrative role (service industry experience preferred).
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SmartDraw, and Outlook. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with executive-level management.
  • Prominent organization and presentation skills.
  • Highly energetic and self-starter.
  • Decision-making, problem-resolution and creative thinking skills.
