Sunstates Security is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Lead for a high-profile client site in the Bellevue, WA area. This position offers an annual salary of $91,520, with a weekly pay schedule.

The primary job responsibilities of the Environmental Health and Safety Lead  are as follows:

  • Develops environmental, health, and safety procedures/programs for all areas of the company modifies as necessary, and conducts program reviews at least annually.
  • Conducts monthly virtual EH&S meetings with selected employees.
  • Conducts job hazard analysis and identifies proper PPE equipment for each task.
  • Conducts new hire safety training · Inspects all facilities regularly to identify safety, health, and environmental risks and assigns findings to responsible area managers.
  • Conduct incident investigations using analytical procedures such as the “5Ys” and/or “fishbone” methods of analysis. When called upon, the EH&S specialist will work with the HR organization and/or Worker’s Compensation carriers on incident evaluations and suggest go forward methodologies.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections in the manufacturing environment. Train and utilize other employees on conducting safety walkthroughs in their areas.
  • Creates the annual OSHA reporting requirements and posts and monitors monthly.
  • Interfaces with external agencies as necessary (federal, state, and local) during plant visits and prepares and implements any needed remediations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership including but not limited to conducting all COVID-19 company required protocols.
 
Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of experience in EH&S management in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of EH&S regulations and policies (federal, state, and local) including (but not limited to) OSHA 10 and 30, first responder training, and OSHA 300 log management
  • Event Management Experience is highly desired
  • Proven ability to positively impact the work environment and lead by example
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Must be a US Citizen or have a valid US work permit.
  • WA Security Guard License (Preferred)
  • Valid CPR Card.
  • Military Experience (Preferred)
  • Law enforcement experience (Preferred)
  • Be at least 25 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
  • 5 years of security experience
  • Successfully pass a 10-panel drug test.
  • Successfully pass a background investigation for the city, county, state, and federal government.
  • Successfully pass a motor vehicle inspection.
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver's license if operating a motor vehicle.
  • Meet all federal, state, and local licensing requirements.
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
  • Physically able to perform the required tasks assigned to the relevant posts.
  • Be neat, clean, and well-groomed while providing services.
 

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives. Sun123
