Job Skills / Requirements

Sunstates Security is seeking an experienced Armed Security Manager for a high-end client in downtown Raleigh.  The Armed Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and is responsible for any threat on campus – armed/unarmed.The account manager will be required to build strong working partnerships with client leadership, employees, stakeholders, and external partners.

This position offers a salary of $70,000 - along with industry-leading benefits including full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, PTO, a 401k plan with company match, tuition assistance, and more.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Assist with planning and documenting emergency response procedures.
• Coordinate drills with the Safety & Security Manager – fire, medical, active shooter – required annually for security audit.
• Offer workplace violence safety tactics and response, and assist with hostile terminations.
• Provide First Aid/CPR/AED training to staff.
• Offer basic self-defense and/or situational awareness tactics, mini-seminars.
• Offer Crisis Intervention (mentally unstable or those in crisis) mini-seminars for security and corporate teams.
• This role is crucial as a backup if the Safety and Security Manager is unavailable or out of the office during an emergency.
   
  Armed Presence: 
• Primary individual responsible for any threat on campus – armed/unarmed.
•  Equipped with multiple tools to de-escalate situations or apply deadly force.
• Develop an Active Shooter/Armed Assailant response with the client's Safety & Security Manager.
• Run table-top and scenario-based Active Shooter drills with the security team, to include medical response and what to expect from the client team.
•  Enhance drills by partnering with PD/EMS/Fire to have them on site to gain familiarity with the facility.

Operational Security:

• Enhance leadership – client will have comfort in this individual stepping in if the Safety & Security Manager is OOO.
•  Specialized in-person training to increase the level of customer service, but also security best practices and self-defense.
• Develop detailed Site Security Plan covering every aspect of service Sunstates offers – access control, surveillance, badge/key policies, emergency response, incident response, patrols, etc. (required for security audit).
•  Partner with Ops Manager to increase the number and quality of available staff who are trained on-site.

Prior military or law enforcement experience is required to be considered for this role.

Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college/university
Associates Degree
