Sunstates Security is currently hiring for a Part-Time Badging Officer in the Forest City, North Carolina area. 1st shift is available Sat/Sun! This position offers a pay rate of $17.50/hr - paid weekly.
Patrol and Property Monitoring Duties - 85_% of time:
a. Monitor Systems and Safety Hazards
• Patrol premises to identify safety and fire hazards
• Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems
• Watch for and report conditions that could result in injury or loss
• Monitor incoming packages, vehicles and personnel to prevent safety hazards
• Set and answer security alarms and investigate disturbances
b. Theft, Violence and Vandalism Deterrence
• Monitor site to protect against vandalism, theft and illegal entry.
• Monitor departing personnel to prevent theft of company property.
• Inspect equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
c. Activity and Entry/Exit Monitoring
• Examine doors, windows, gates and other possible means of entrance to ensure they are locked and secure
• Monitor and record entry and exiting of visitors and staff
• Screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Observe parking lots and departing personnel to prevent robberies or vandalism
e. Emergency or First Response:
• Act as first responder in case of emergencies including fire, illness or injury to other persons, theft or vandalism
NOTE:, All responses and actions will adhere to Sunstates Security’s policy regarding “officers’ response to aggression” and acceptable uses of force to accomplish lawful objectives
Reporting/Documentation Duties - 15_% of time
Key Responsibilities:
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities
- Check in and out company visitors or personnel
- Responsible for documenting lost or missing items, maintaining key logs, completing accident reports and other reports as required.
- Reports must be detailed and accurate at all times.
Other:
- May perform reception duties to greet and check in visitors, operate the switchboard and answer telephone calls during or after hours, and provide general information
- Will patrol site(s) on foot and/or may use vehicles. May use video surveillance equipment and other methods to signal the presence of intruders
- Good communications skills, maintain a professional appearance and presence, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, can react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with client and site personnel
- Must perform multiple job functions utilizing effective time management skills.
- Duties are typically performed under limited supervision following pre-established Company guidelines.
