Job Skills / Requirements

DSI Security is hiring an TSS Regional Operations Manager for the Atlanta, GA region. 

Primary responsibility of the TSS Regional Operations Manager is to organize, plan, and direct all Technology Security Solutions projects and operations in the Atlanta Region.

Preferred Experience:

  • 5-10 years documented experience in technology security industry as a manager or lead technician/project manager.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Strong Focus on proper installation, programming, closeout, and post project closeout service of all Access Control, Video Surveillance, Turnstiles, Intrusion Systems, Gate systems, VoIP intercom systems, and structured cabling/fiber optic solutions.
  • Daily scheduling of Installation Technicians and coordination of all service technicians.
  • Prioritize workload to assure productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Operate and continue to improve efficiency of Sedona Office and the Technician Field Support Units. Obtain and document all job information and close out documents.
  • Attain budget targets in installation revenues, monthly and annually in accordance with goals and standards, while complying with budget expense targets.
  • Manage and inspect completed installations to assure quality meets within the standards for all products and services.
  • Manage and oversee purchasing of materials and consumables. and reconciliation of all warehouse/truck inventory.
  • Manage and oversee all installation vehicles and ensure truck inventories are adequate and controlled.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with all DOT regulations for installation technicians and all company installation vehicles and trailers.
  • Verify materials on all jobs and handle preinstallation communication to make sure all specifics of a job are addressed and handled. i.e. Proper mounting materials, making sure correct working hours, site specific training, etc.
  • Ensure equipment needed for scheduled installation is received and ready for installation in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for all project coordination on large and integrated projects.
  • Develop and implement punch lists, and checklist for jobs to ensure completion and final closeout paperwork.
  • Ability to develop and produce engineered shop drawings, As-Built Drawings, and O&M Manuals. Schedule of Values, billing by percentage of completion.
  • Assure completion of all necessary paperwork for each Installation.
  • Evaluate month-end management reports to assess technician productivity, profit/loss or projects efficiency, quality and effectiveness.
  • Assist the sales department as a technical resource and labor planning.
  • Recruit, hire and ensure proper training for new technicians. Oversee the training of new technicians using approved training programs/methods.
  • Schedule and administer performance evaluations for all Installation Dept. employees.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled department meetings to assure proper communication and safety training.
  • Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
  • Learning Initiative to constantly find ways to improve communications, and methods to ensure a complete solution.
  • Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for employees consistent with DSI policies and procedures
Required Knowledge Base, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively manage Installation & Service Technicians in the Security or similar technical industry.
  • Candidates should have a proven track record of management
  • Strong organizational skills will also be key in scheduling work crews to be efficient.
  • Ability to design/layout and execute the installation of IP CCTV System, Security System, and Access Control System.
  • Knowledge of Burglary, Fire, Access Control, electronic locks, Turnstiles, Gate Systems, VOIP Intercom Systems, and CCTV systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technology and ability to maintain and support hosted access control and cloud video solutions.
  • Knowledge of IP based Security Industry Products.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, customer service, time-management, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficient in computers and software applications that include: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Internet Protocol and Network Products is Highly Recommended (switches, routers, firewalls, IP addressing, PoE, etc…)
  • NICET Certification or BICSI Certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of NEC and BICSI Cabling and installation best standards and codes.
  • NTS Level II Certified, or able to accomplish within first 12 months of employment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through email or memorandum, in order to identify tasks, promote, and account for execution
