Rising Star Resource Development Corporation (Rising Star) is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation and Social Enterprise. Work Location: Pollock / Pineville, LA
Job Summary: Performs basic custodial services. Work involves coordinating the cleaning and sanitation of federal buildings. May train others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Background clearance required.

Essential Duties and Responsible:

• Coordinates and performs general custodial functions such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, light fixtures, carpet and tile floors
• Restroom maintenance, replenishing supplies and applying cleaning chemicals as appropriate
• Floor Tech responsible for refinishing, polishing and maintenance of floor equipment and reporting process
• Cleans, dust, and inspects areas such as restrooms, offices, and other facilities as needed
• Operates floor maintenance equipment, including buffers, upright and backpack vacuums
• Inspects buildings for cleanliness, completed work, and needed repairs
• Maintains inventory records of building property, custodial equipment, materials, supplies, and equipment
• Performs related tasks as assigned

Education/Experience:

• Graduation from a standard High School or equivalent is generally preferred. At least one year experience in custodial work.

Communication Skills:

• Bilingual (English) and Spanish a plus but not necessary.

Pay:

Janitor  with Federal Contractor Wage Determination -

• $17.75 per hour – Hourly Rate
• $ 4.93 per hour - Health and Wellness Hourly Pay
• $22.68 per hour - Total Per Hour Pay

Education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
