Commercial Security Officer – Class A & Mixed-Use Properties (Floater Team)

$16.50 – $17.50 per hour | Pathway to Permanent Placement

Weekdays & Weekends | Mornings, Evenings, and Overnights

We are seeking professional, dependable Security Officers to join our Floater Coverage Team supporting multiple Class A office towers, mixed-use developments, and commercial properties.

Officers may be assigned to office towers, mixed-use buildings, or retail storefront locations depending on operational needs.

This role is ideal for officers who are adaptable, reliable, and comfortable working in professional corporate environments.

Professional corporate security environment – business attire and high standards expected.

Officers who demonstrate strong reliability and performance may be considered for permanent placement after the evaluation period.

Pay

$16.50 – $17.50 per hour

Pay is based on experience, reliability, availability, and performance.

60-Day Floater Program

All new hires begin in a 60-Day Floater Program before becoming eligible for permanent placement.

During this period officers will:

• Train across multiple commercial properties• Learn various post assignments• Demonstrate reliability and professionalism• Be evaluated for long-term placement opportunities

Successful completion may result in assignment to a permanent site based on operational needs.

Availability Requirements (Mandatory)

This position requires strong scheduling flexibility.

Applicants must be available for:

• Night shifts (required)• Weekend availability (required)• Ability to work at least two of the following shifts:– Morning– Evening– Overnight

• Availability for both weekdays and weekends as needed.

This role provides flexible coverage assignments across multiple properties based on operational needs.

Applicants who cannot meet night and weekend availability requirements should not apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide coverage across multiple commercial properties• Conduct patrols of buildings and parking areas• Monitor CCTV and access control systems• Respond professionally to incidents and alarms• Complete patrol logs and incident reports• Maintain professional appearance and conduct

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 1 year professional security experience (required)• Commercial, high-rise, or corporate security experience preferred• Applicants with commercial high-rise or corporate experience receive priority consideration• Active Level II or Level III security license• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation• Strong communication and situational awareness• Dependable and adaptable work ethic
