Security Officer - COLLEGE STATION

Location: College Station, TX 77845

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly professional and dependable Security Officer to serve in a Rover / Mobile Patrol role at a professional office environment.

This position requires the officer to operate a company-provided golf cart throughout the property for the duration of the shift, conducting continuous patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and responding to service requests as needed. In addition to patrol responsibilities, the officer will provide lunch and break relief coverage for other on-site security officers throughout the day.

This is a highly visible position that requires strong observational skills, professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently while maintaining consistent communication with site personnel and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous mobile patrols of the property using a golf cart
• Maintain a visible and proactive security presence throughout the site
• Monitor for safety hazards, security concerns, suspicious activity, and property damage
• Provide lunch and break relief coverage for assigned security officers
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and security concerns in a timely manner
• Interact professionally with tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff
• Assist with access control and visitor management as needed during relief assignments
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation
• Follow all site-specific procedures, post orders, and security protocols
• Communicate observations, incidents, and operational concerns to site leadership

Minimum Requirements (Strictly Enforced)

• Minimum 1 year of professional security experience (REQUIRED)
• Valid driver's license (REQUIRED)
• Clean driving record preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Must reside within 20 miles of ZIP code 77845
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to safely operate a golf cart throughout the workday
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain active, attentive, and engaged throughout the entire shift

Preferred Experience

• Experience conducting mobile patrols in a security environment
• Experience operating golf carts or similar utility vehicles
• Experience working in commercial, office, or mixed-use properties
