United Protective Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Full-Time Security Officer for an apartment community. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy staying active, interacting with residents, and maintaining a highly visible security presence while helping create a safe and welcoming environment.

Schedule

Saturday: 10PM to 6AM

Sunday: OFF

Monday: OFF

Tuesday: 10PM to 6AM

Wednesday: 10PM to 6AM

Thursday: 10PM to 6AM

Friday: 10PM to 6AM

Position Overview

The Security Officer will conduct regular foot patrols throughout the apartment community, monitoring for suspicious activity, safety concerns, and property issues. Officers are expected to provide excellent customer service to residents and guests while working independently and maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine foot patrols of the property, including parking areas, amenities, and common areas
  • Ensure exterior access doors, gates, and other designated areas are secure
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, criminal behavior, safety hazards, and property damage
  • Identify and address trespassing, loitering, soliciting, and unauthorized individuals in accordance with company policy
  • Provide courteous assistance to residents, guests, vendors, and property staff
  • Observe and report maintenance concerns such as broken lighting, water leaks, damaged fencing, or unsecured doors
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports accurately and on time
  • Respond appropriately to disturbances, alarms, and emergencies while following company procedures
  • Contact law enforcement, emergency responders, and management when necessary
  • Maintain a professional, visible presence that deters crime and promotes resident safety

Qualifications

  • Active Texas Security License (or ability to obtain one)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to walk for extended periods throughout an entire shift
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
