United Protective Services is seeking a dependable and professional Overnight Vehicle Patrol Security Officer for a residential POA community. This position starts on October 19th. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position working Tuesday through Saturday.

The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain a consistent and visible security presence throughout the neighborhood. The officer will remain mobile throughout the shift, conducting continuous vehicle patrols of designated streets and common areas while observing, documenting, and reporting security concerns, parking violations, and unusual activity.

Primary Responsibilities

• Continuously patrol all designated streets and common areas of the neighborhood throughout the shift.
• Maintain a highly visible security presence and avoid remaining stationary for unnecessary or extended periods.
• Patrol and visually inspect all neighborhood parks at least once per shift.
• Remain alert for suspicious persons, vehicles, activity, safety concerns, property damage, and other unusual conditions.
• Identify vehicles parked on neighborhood streets and issue parking notices/tickets as required by POA policy.
• Accurately document vehicles and parking violations, including photographs and other required information.
• Conduct designated Vacation Watches by increasing patrol frequency past participating residences and observing the property from the public roadway for unusual vehicles, persons, activity, or other visible concerns.
• Identify and report streetlights that are not functioning properly.
• Document patrol activity, observations, violations, and incidents accurately using the company's designated reporting system.
• Immediately report suspicious activity, emergencies, or significant security concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain professional communication and conduct when interacting with residents, visitors, POA representatives, law enforcement, and management.
• Follow all site Post Orders, company policies, and client-specific procedures.

Position Expectations

The successful candidate must be comfortable spending the majority of an overnight shift conducting vehicle patrols. This is an active patrol position, not a stationary security post.

Applicants should be dependable, observant, capable of working independently, and able to maintain consistent patrol activity throughout the night. Strong attention to detail is required, particularly when documenting parking violations, Vacation Watches, lighting issues, and suspicious activity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Be at least 25 years of age for company insurance requirements.
• Ability to safely operate a patrol vehicle for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Strong observation and documentation skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Professional appearance and communication.
• Ability to follow written Post Orders and established procedures.
• Must meet all applicable licensing and employment requirements for a Security Officer with Texas DPS.
