Job Skills / Requirements

Supervisors are required to provide continuous training for all dispatchers.
 
Supervisors also required to be available to work any shift with little to no notice including weekends.
 
Supervisors are responsible for recognizing and accessing any issues that arise on their post and collaborating directly with the client to resolve.
 
Supervisors required to always maintain a professional manner and directly assist any request by the client.
 
Supervisors are required to train dispatchers to become certified in dispatching emergencies, and certification for Lenel.
 
Preparing and sending an FMX, this is required for repairs and maintaining access and exit points. 
 
Supervisors need to be knowledgeable in the Simplex fire system, how it works and how to train other dispatchers if a fire alarm is activated.
 
Supervisors need to be proficient in dispatching and have the experience of working in the Command Center to know how to manage situations that may arise that only comes from experience.
 
Evacuating or sheltering a company this size takes knowledge and training drills. Training drills should be practiced once every two weeks at least. On going training is necessary. They must be able to create test, scenarios, and drills for this training.
 
Supervisors must be always available for on call services unless there is a personal or emergency reason they cannot be.
 
Supervisors must be dependable and have a good standing attendance record.
 
Supervisors must be able to perform their duties but also be aware of what is happening with the other Officers and be able to react in the moment with guidance and assistance.
 
Supervisors are required to have Emergency Dispatch Certification issued within 1 year – if being promoted within.

Education Requirements (Any)

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certification Requirements (Any)

Alabama Security Regulatory Board License
Pistol Permit
Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses
