Dispatch Scheduler Job Description
Schedule
- Full-time, 4 days/week (40 hours)
- 10-hour shifts: 9 PM – 7 AM
- Wednesday through Saturday
- Weekends and holidays required
Role Overview
Security Engineers is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling Dispatcher to manage staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage for client sites. This role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Dispatcher will coordinate schedules, respond to emergencies, and maintain accurate records while working closely with internal teams and clients.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
- Ability to read, write, and speak clear English
- Clean background; able to obtain required certifications or licenses
- Availability for first, second, and third shifts
- High moral character and integrity
Duties & Responsibilities
Scheduling & Coordination
- Establish, maintain, and review staffing schedules
- Match available staff to positions and communicate schedules via email, text, or phone
- Minimize avoidable overtime and redeploy staff to cover call-offs
- Track time-off requests to maintain site coverage
Incident Response & Reporting
- Respond to emergencies, call-offs, and absences to ensure adequate staffing
- Take, log, and complete daily shift reports
- Escalate significant incident reports to appropriate managers
Administrative & Communication
- Input schedule changes and client requests into the automated resource system
- Prepare clear and professional emails and reports
- Oversee camera feeds to ensure compliance and safety
Required Skills & Abilities
Minimum
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong verbal, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- High degree of emotional self-control
- Excellent computer skills; proficient in MS Word and Excel
Preferred
- Experience with WinTeam scheduling software
- Prior dispatch or scheduling experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods in front of a computer
- Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck
- Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
