Custodial Equipment Repair Technician
Monday - Friday 10:00am-6:30pm
The Custodial Equipment Repair Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of custodial equipment used in various facilities. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and enhancing the productivity of custodial staff.

- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on custodial equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, pressure washers, and other cleaning machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs or replacements; troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems effectively.
- Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies needed for repairs, and order new parts as necessary.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including service logs and inventory updates.
- Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety standards and regulations
- Assist in training custodial personnel on the proper use and care of equipment.
- Preferred experience in mechanical and electrical repair, preferably in custodial or related environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to custodial equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks.
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling may be required.
- Work may be performed in various facilities, including schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, equipment & other environmental factors
- Driving to multiple facilities as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Hourly wage $18.00-$22.00
