Facility Cleaning Supervisor | West Bloomfield

Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

$18 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Facility Cleaning Supervisor to lead a small cleaning team at a busy community and recreation facility in the West Bloomfield area near the Maple Road corridor.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The supervisor will work alongside the team each shift while helping train employees, monitor quality, maintain cleaning standards, and support daily operations throughout the facility.

This position supports a large community-focused environment with fitness areas, gathering spaces, offices, and high-traffic common areas. The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, communicates professionally, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small team of cleaning staff
• Perform daily janitorial and custodial duties alongside the team
• Train employees on cleaning procedures, quality expectations, and safety practices
• Monitor work quality and help maintain consistent cleaning standards
• Assist with shift coordination and daily task assignments
• Maintain cleanliness throughout locker rooms, restrooms, entrances, common areas, and activity spaces
• Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff
• Interact professionally with building occupants, visitors, and team members

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience required
• Previous supervisor or team lead experience required
• Reliable attendance and strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
• Comfortable working in an active public-facing environment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays as needed
