Day Porter / Custodian | Canton

FULL TIME

Monday - Friday | 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

$16 - $17 per hour

We are seeking a dependable and professional Healthcare Day Porter to support daily cleaning operations at a busy hospital in Canton.

This position works during normal daytime business hours while the facility is fully occupied by hospital staff, patients, visitors, and guests. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting professionally with building occupants while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout occupied hospital and healthcare areas
• Perform routine janitorial and custodial duties during active business hours
• Monitor restrooms, common areas, entrances, waiting areas, and high-touch surfaces
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and spills as needed
• Assist with trash removal, restocking supplies, and maintaining overall appearance of the facility
• Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors
• Interact professionally and respectfully with hospital employees, guests, and the public

Requirements

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or day porter experience preferred
• Comfortable working in an active healthcare and hospital environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and dependable attendance required
• Ability to work independently and stay organized throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
