Job Summary

IPSC is seeking a new team member to lead its recruiting department. The position will oversee all hiring, recruiting and retention efforts as well as be a strategic parter to the Director to solve company staffing strategy. The Recruiting Manager will be responsible for coordinating the overall recruitment strategy.  The position will manage the recruiters and the recruiting process – advertising, pre-screening, setting interviews, and selecting the very best candidates to join our team, reports, data analysis, training, and partnership with business operations to recruit for success.  The recruiter will field job vacancy requests from regional and branch management and follow the requisitions through to a successful closure. The recruiter will schedule interviews with management, and the work with management to ensure that each region maintains appropriate and adequate staffing levels.  The position will develop a multifaceted recruiting approach to target the necessary talent.  The recruiting team will coordinate and utilize employment websites, job posting boards, social media, professional associations, as well as participation in various job fairs and community events.  The position will be expected to locate new sources and pools of talent.  The Recruiting Manager will be expected to coordinate and maintain the Recruiting Department budget to utilize funds to maximize efficiency. This position will supervise a team of recruiters and report to the Director.

This position will report work in office at the Corporate Office in Hammond, LA. Some travel may be required. Work on holidays, evenings and weekends may also be required.


Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in HR and/or recruiting preferred
  • Experience in the security industry is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with thorough follow-up and follow-through.
  • Positive attitude and outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough and sound decision making.
  • Ability to work with a team and across departments.
  • Good work ethic and the ability to be a self-starter.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally
