BTI currently seeks a shift supervisor (lieutenant) to supervise and oversee officers and shifts at several of our regional sites in Montgomery County.
- Provide supervision and oversight of officers and shifts.
- Demonstrates the capacity to manage a security guard services contract effectively
- Perform regular post-inspection
- Adequately prepares written inspection and quality control reports.
- Daily management of readiness capabilities of Unarmed Security personnel in their duties of protection of client property, facility, personnel, and revenue throughout the Montgomery County Area
- Ensure contract requirements maintain all officer’s credentials.
- Assist the Project Manager in implementing new and revised systems, process development, and operating procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Be a United States citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard)
- A Social Security Card is issued by the Social Security Administration, which includes the individual’s name and social security number
- Two (2) years of experience supervising and leading unarmed/armed security personnel
- Must possess and maintain a valid Maryland Unarmed Security Guard license
- Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a customer service-driven mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers
- Equipment and Software proficiency in the following: fax/copier/printer, Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel and Word)
Physical Demands:
- Shall be physically able to perform tasks in the performance of assigned duties
- Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping up to 12 hours per day, either indoors or outdoors
- Ability to remain alert for up to 12 hours, with the ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations
