 We are seeking a skilled and reliable Utility Porter to join our team at Alliance Building Services. As a Utility Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining Class A facilities by ensuring cleanliness, safety, and efficient operations. Your expertise in various flooring machines and techniques will be essential for success in this role 

 

 Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  •  Operate and maintain floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and other specialized equipment.
  •  Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed. 
  • Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts. 
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and report any issues promptly. 
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized environment. 
  • Respond to urgent cleaning requests or spills. 
  •  Follow established protocols for handling hazardous materials.
  •  Ensure compliance with company policies and safety guidelines. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service to building occupants. 

Job Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Utility Porter or similar role.
  •  Proficiency in operating floor cleaning equipment (e.g., buffers, polishers, steam cleaners).
  •  Knowledge of different flooring types (carpet, tile, hardwood) and appropriate cleaning methods.
  •  Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  •  Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  •  Reliable transportation to and from work.
  •  Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
