Alliance Building Services is seeking a skilled 32BJ Handyman with a strong background in HVAC systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC units to ensure optimal operation within Class A facilities.
This is a 32BJ union position.
Pay is $32.70 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to identify any issues or potential improvements.
2. Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC units, including cleaning, adjusting, and replacing parts as needed.
3. Respond to service requests and perform minor HVAC repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and parts used.
5. Collaborate with facility management to schedule major repairs and minimize disruption to building operations.
6. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and building codes during maintenance activities.
7. Provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements when necessary.
8. Assist in the training of new maintenance staff on HVAC system care.
9. Participate in emergency on-call rotation for after-hours building issues.
10. Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure a cohesive approach to facility management.
Requirements:
1. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues effectively.
2. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to HVAC systems.
3. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and facility management.
4. Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining Class A facility standards.
5. Proficiency in using tools and equipment necessary for HVAC maintenance tasks.
6. Ability to read and interpret HVAC diagrams and technical manuals.
7. Physical capability to perform tasks in various environments and conditions.
8. Availability for emergency on-call duties outside of standard working hours.
9. A proactive approach to learning and adopting new maintenance techniques and technologies.
Experience: Minimum of one year of building operations and maintenance.
