Overview
A General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of buildings, make sure buildings are closed securely. Reports any issues, complaints to Supervisor and/or Route Manager.
Job Skills / Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean buildings by emptying trash, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and cleaning surfaces assigned
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks such as unlocking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliances
Proper use of cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces
Use approved cleaning chemicals only with proper PPE as required and must follow SDS
Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors, using proper cleaners, sponge, and squeegees
Dust furniture and scrub surface clean
Clean and service restrooms with mops and proper disinfectants
Move heavy furniture to vacuum/sweep underneath as needed
Arrive timely for shifts as scheduled and complete all work in the allotted time
Identify and repost needed repairs on equipments to ensure they are well maintained
Cross-train on other duties or areas assigned by supervisor
