Job Skills / Requirements

This is the perfect position for anyone detail-oriented who enjoys working independently, takes pride in his or her work and has evening and weekend availability.

  • In this position, you will be responsible for organizing, cleaning and sorting hotel linens, including sheets and towels. The position also requires you to use our provided cleaning materials to tackle items in need of extra attention.
  • Load articles into dry-cleaning machines or washers at regular intervals to ensure steady availability of towels and linens.
  • Regulate machine processes when starting washers, driers and dry cleaners; turn levels and valves to control volume of additives, specific cycles and temperature.
  • Assisted with the cleaning of work area facilities and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring facilities and equipment are in proper working condition and providing a sanitary, safe and attractive work environment.
  • Verified and tied articles in bundles for transporting to residents.
  • Laundry jobs tend to be repetitious and require workers to stand for long periods.
  • To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each function listed under the essential functions and physical demands categories of this position description.
  • Lubricate equipment to provide light service to machines, and clean or change machine filters when needed; alert manager when machines are in need of professional repair.
  • Have the ability to maintain a professional and positive appearance and interact positively with supervisor, co-workers and client staff.
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of English language
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  • Employee must maintain regular attendance.
  • Must meet all local health regulations. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.

Position Requirements

  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, push, pull, move, bend, kneel, stoop, squat a maximum of 50lbs, and lift/carry a maximum of 30lbs.

  • Must live in service area.  No relocation costs.
