Overview
Talent Acquisition Assistant
At Populist, we're seeking a talented acquisition assistant to help us source, identify, screen, and onboard/offboard candidates for various roles in the company. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in applicant tracking systems. This hybrid part-time role has the opportunity for full-time transition as the workload increases.

Objectives of this role
- Provide input to ensure that teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals.
- Ensure that staffing needs are being met with a long-term strategy in mind.
- Devise and implement sourcing strategies, such as an employer branding initiative, to build pipelines for potential applicants.
- Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear expectations for candidates and interviewers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
- Source applicants through online channels.
- Create interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position.
- Applicant screening
- Introduce Populist culture to applicants.
- Set expectations for the applicant.
- Notify the applicant of background check criteria.
- Provide the applicant with clear next steps.
- Compile lists of the most suitable candidates.
- Job fairs
- Support Managers at job fairs.
- Maintain employee files and databases.
- Onboarding employees
- I-9 and E-Verify
- Background Check
- Process Child Support Claims.
- Entering employees into training, benefits, and HRIS platforms.
- Offboarding employees
- Removing employees from training, benefits, and the HRIS platform.
- HR administrative duties.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Information / Benefits
Required skills and qualifications.
- Two or three years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role.
- Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
This job reports to the HR Manager
This is a Part-Time position 1st Shift.
