Area Managers will possess excellent time management skills and the ability to work smart. A typical shift may include training a new employee, meeting with a customer, dropping off supplies, and performing multiple site inspections. The position can vary greatly from day to day.

The position is largely self-directed and requires the Area Manager to be actively cleaning/training for a small portion of each shift. Will manager Huntington, Bluffton, Berne Indiana markets.

We currently have second shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM), with occasional (4:00 PM to 12:00 AM) to cover 3rd shift visits. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Account Managment to retain and strengthen customer relationships
  • Oversee new building start-ups to launch new accounts
  • Budget management and contract renewals
  • Coaching cleaners and building supervisors
  • Building Inspections within assigned accounts to ensure quality standards
  • Interview, hire and train employees, both new and existing on a continuing basis
  • Deliver Discipline and rewards according to our policy manual
  • Deliveries of cleaning supplies within Berne, Bluffton, and Decatur Indiana
  • Provide coverage during staff shortages as necessary
  • Meetings with Operations Manager
  • Other Projects to improve our workplace
  • Emergency Phone coverage to manage schedule changes within assigned market
Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma 
  • Account Management with budget oversite 
  • Proven experience as a supervisor managing teams at multiple locations 
  • Ability to Coach and Lead
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to grow and accept feedback
  • Possess Driver's License, ability to pass a DMV and criminal background check
  • Experience in a Janitorial Supervisory role preferred
