Overview
We here at A&H Security are currently seeking a Certified Security Instructor to lead and facilitate NYS-mandated security training courses; including the 8-Hour Pre-Assignment, 8-Hour Annual, 16-Hour On-the-Job, and Fireguard preparation. The ideal candidate is a current or former licensed security guard with strong knowledge of industry standards, terminology, and New York State requirements.
- Conduct training sessions for the 8-hour pre-assignment, 16-hour OJT, and 8-hour annual security courses.
- Administer and oversee examinations for the 8-hour and 16-hour training modules.
- Complete and maintain accurate administrative paperwork related to training and certifications.
- Lead new hire Orientation and ensure all trainees understand course materials and requirements.
- Instruct and issue NARCAN Certificates
- Instruct, lead and issue DHS 40 Hour Shelter Training Certificates (in accordance to Local Law 124)
- Other Duties as Assigned

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
College Degree
Certification Requirements (All)
NYS Security Guard License
Fire Guard for Shelters F02
Fire Safety Coordinator (F80)
Security Instructor Development Certification Course (IDC) is a 40-hour training

This is a Full-Time position 1st Shift, Weekends.
