Job Skills / Requirements

Guardteck Security is looking for a friendly, outgoing and experienced  Mobile Security Supervisor.

Our Mobile, Loss Prevention and Static Team provides 24-hour customized security services to a wide range of clients and facilities across the Lower Mainland including office buildings, shopping centers, educational institutions, parking facilities, and private residences.

Successful candidates will demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain self-control and make quick decisions during emergencies.

Availability:

23:00-07:00, 00:00-08:00

Wage: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

What you will be doing: 

  • Assist with all security operations
  • Lead a team of the security professionals.
  • Ensure the site-specific operation procedures are up to date.
  • Ensure tasks are completed in an efficient manner.
  • Audit security work and interactions with customers on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively mentor and train employees and provide regular feedback.
  • Assist with employee rewards and appreciation programs.
  • Help manage scheduling.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Communicate with the operations manager.
  • Exercise good judgment and make decisions that benefit the customer and the property.
  • Become part of the team and make yourself a key part of the customer’s success.
What you should have:

  • Valid BC security license
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean driver's abstract
  • 1 year or more experience as a seucrity guard
  • 6 months of driving experience 
  • prior supervisory experience an asset
  • Proficient in the English language (verbal & written)
  • Top-notch customer service, with previous experience, considered a strong asset
  • Professional approach to role; acting in a disciplined, honest and ethical manner
  • Must be able to follow procedures and set routines effectively
  • Strong observation and communication skills
