Guardteck is looking for a Part-Time employee at 320 Granville in Vancouver
Wage: $18.50-$19.00 /hr
What you should have:
- Valid British Columbia Basic Security Training
- Advanced Security Training (Preferred but not mandatory)
- Valid OFA Level 1
- Minimum 1 year of experience in security and customer service
- Minimum 6 months security experience working alone; comfortable working alone in an environment where encountering the marginalized community (Mental Health, Addiction Issues) will be the norm
- Must be confident in verbal conflict de-escalation
- Proficient in the English language (verbal & written)
- Able to complete high-quality reports
- Strong customer service skills; friendly, accommodating but assertive and steadfast when it comes to rules enforcement for both Occupants and People of Interest encountered around the building.
- Professional approach to role; acting in a disciplined, honest and ethical manner
- Able to patrol and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to follow procedures and set routines effectively
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Experience working in a Commercial or Residential office tower preferred
- Experience working with the marginalized community; specifically the Downtown Eastside community
- Flexible availability
Certification Requirements (Any)
British Columbia Security License
