Job Skills / Requirements

Guardteck is looking for a Casual / On call Security Guards for New Westminster!

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with a dynamic team of security professionals
  • Provide exceptional customer service to visitors of the property, always maintaining a professional image
  • Foot patrols of the grounds and property
  • Be attentive to safety issues, security breaches, and situations requiring attention
  • Emergency response to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other urgent situations as required
  • Document incidents using the appropriate software when applicable
  • Perform crowd control during high-profile events, when applicable
  • Handle Lost & Found items when applicable
Position Requirements:

  • Valid British Columbia security license
  • Valid OFA Level 1
  • Must be familiar with handling vagrants and intoxicated persons
  • Must be confident in verbal conflict de-escalation
  • At lest 1 year of security experience 
  • Proficient in the English language (verbal & written)
  • Frequent patrols of the complex and grounds
  • Must be able to follow procedure and set routines effectively
  • Must be ready to meet new people and have a great time at work
  • Must be a team player, honest, reliable, and awesome
