We are looking for Full-Time and On-Call Security Guards for Victoria BC who excel in both safety enforcement and customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience interacting with the public, handling security concerns with professionalism, and maintaining a friendly yet authoritative presence.


Wage: $21.50/hr


Key responsibilities include:

  • Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Patrols of the grounds and property.
  • Able to do foot patrol and stand for most of the shifts.
  • Be attentive to safety issues, security breaches, and situations requiring attention.
  • Emergency response to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other urgent situations as required.
  • Document incidents using the appropriate software when applicable.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Must be confident in verbal conflict de-escalation.
  • Able to complete high-quality reports.
  • Previous experience with in-person customer service is a strong asset
  • Professional approach to role; acting in a disciplined, honest and ethical manner
  • Able to patrol and stand for long periods of time
  • Comfortable working alone or with a diverse team
  • Must be able to follow procedures and set routines effectively
  • Strong observation and attention to detail
  • Valid BC Security License
  • Valid OFA level 1 Certificate or standard first aid
  • Flexible availability
