Job Skills / Requirements

Reporting to the Sanitation Manager. The sanitation worker will be performing cleaning/sanitizing duties while wearing personal protective equipment (water protection, gloves and boots).
Job Duties:
  • Sanitizing facility using high pressure washer hose? Scrub and wipe machinery surfaces
  • Apply chemicals and sanitizer to equipment 
  • Performs all duties on the daily and weekly maintenance lists.
  • Supports all teams with cleaning projects.
  • Safely and effectively to clean a variety of surfaces.
  • Clean up meat residues, debris and other packaging materials from area being washed
Qualifications and Skills
  • Food Plant Sanitation experience an asset
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Team Player
  • Ability to physically perform the duties of the position
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
  • Strong work ethic, initiative and strive for quality work
  • Ability to handle unpleasant tasks with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
