Job Skills / Requirements

Inspects, repairs, and maintains buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe and functional operations. Key duties include preventative maintenance, basic electrical/plumbing repairs, painting, cleaning, and operating tools safely. They must follow safety protocols, document repairs, and often handle moving furniture or groundskeeping. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Routine Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues.
  • Repairs: Fixing plumbing leaks, electrical issues, broken tools, and minor structural damage (walls, doors, roofs).
  • Preventative Care: Performing tasks like changing air filters, lubricating equipment, and cleaning.
  • Groundskeeping: Maintaining exterior areas, including mowing, trash removal, and snow removal.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring all systems comply with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Keeping maintenance logs and writing reports. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of, or ability to learn, basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Tool Handling: Experience using hand tools (wrenches, saws) and power tools (drills, saws).
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items, move furniture, and work in varied weather conditions.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to address repair needs.
  • Communication: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and report to supervisors.
