SCHEDULE: Mon - Thur 2359-0800 (32 hours)

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

THIS POSITION IS NOT REMOTE.

 

Must be highly computer literate; possess professional communication skills, pay close attention to detail – strong work ethic.

Operate a multi-line telephone system and radio system. Duties will also include clocking in our staff.

 

Oversee and monitor patrol division's incoming and outgoing traffic 

Send alarms and call responses to patrol and stationary officers on duty. 

 

Receive calls from the public in a professional and efficient manner. 

Pass down information from shift to shift in regards to pending tasks. 

 

Clock in night guards who have shifts and assure they are on duty. 

Replace any night guards who do not show or make it on duty. 

 

Maintain contact with Field Operations or Watch Commander for issues. 

Report all findings and issues that occurred overnight with our MOD Log. 

 

Translate information to the appropriate codes. Determine and assign the level of priority of the call and enter the data into a computer-aided dispatch system. Receive and respond to a variety of emergency and non-emergency services; to include tow companies and complaints from resident calls. Ask questions to interpret, analyze and anticipate the caller’s situation as to resolve problems, provide information, dispatch officers accordingly, or refer callers to other to agencies as requested. Monitor and respond to a variety of alarms.

 

Candidates must be able to provide excellent customer service. Candidates must have knowledge of telecommunications systems, which may include broadcasting, and switching systems, and computerized databases. Furthermore, they must understand basic dispatch codes, as well as standard abbreviations and industry terminology commonly used by security personnel and law enforcement agencies. Candidates must understand jurisdictional boundaries, as well as thoroughfares, landmarks, public buildings etc., within the jurisdiction of the serviced region. The ability to develop and maintain cooperative and professional relationships with fellow employees, representatives from other departments, and supervisors. The ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approach and address problems. The ability to use judgment and decision-making skills to evaluate situations, establish priorities, and resolve matters. The ability to think quickly. The ability to work under stressful situations. The ability to actively listen and communicate effectively through clear speech and hearing.  The ability to follow given instructions. The ability to write clearly and spell correctly. The ability to establish priorities an escalate information as needed.
