The Senior Regional People Business Partner serves as the HR leader and strategic people partner for CSG’s Southern California operations. Supporting multiple client locations and a large field-based workforce, this role provides leadership across workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, engagement, leadership coaching, and compliance.

Working closely with Operations, employees, clients, and Centers of Excellence, the SRPBP identifies workforce needs and implements practical people solutions that support business objectives. This is not a traditional desk-based HR position. Success requires a strong field presence throughout Southern California, with significant time spent at client locations engaging employees and leaders, understanding operations, and proactively addressing workforce needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior HR partner for CSG operations and client locations.
  • Build trusted relationships with Operations, clients, management, and employees while aligning People strategies with company objectives and CSG Core Values.
  • Advise leaders on workforce planning, staffing, retention, performance, engagement, and people-related business decisions.
  • Maintain a strong field presence and identify workforce trends, risks, and employee concerns.
  • Partner with TA and Operations on recruiting strategies, difficult-to-fill positions, key hiring decisions, onboarding, and retention.
  • Monitor staffing, vacancies, turnover, and workforce trends and develop action plans.
  • Support organizational growth, client launches, transitions, restructuring, and other business changes.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Partner with Employee Relations, Legal, Compliance, and HR leadership on complex or high-risk matters.
  • Coach leaders on leadership effectiveness, communication, engagement, performance, accountability, and difficult employee conversations.
  • Support engagement, retention, leadership development, succession planning, employee check-ins, and stay interviews.
  • Partner with Safety, WC, and Operations on workplace safety, injury prevention, and return-to-work efforts.
  • Partner with CSG clients to understand workforce expectations and develop solutions supporting operational success.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, documentation requirements, and HR best practices; escalate risks as appropriate.

Qualifications – Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner or similar HR leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting a large, multi-site, field-based and hourly workforce.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in employee relations, investigations, performance management, leadership coaching, workforce planning, engagement, and compliance.
  • Experience partnering with Operations and business leadership.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication, judgment, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
  • Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel extensively throughout Southern California.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • HR experience in hospitality, janitorial, facilities services, staffing, environmental services, or a related service industry.
  • Experience supporting distributed workforces, Safety and WC, client launches, or workforce transitions.

Travel Requirements

Extensive Southern California travel is required, including LA, OC, SD, IE, and surrounding markets. A significant portion of the workweek will be spent in the field. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Competitive Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90,000–$130,000, based on experience, qualifications, and job-related factors.

This position is eligible for the company’s annual bonus program and includes a company vehicle and fuel card.
