Overview

West Michigan Janitorial provides industry-leading janitorial service to businesses in West Michigan. We employ over 400 Custodians and Janitors for positions cleaning in commercial & school environments. 

We are looking for an experienced Assitant Janitorial Manager to serve West Ottawa Public Schools in Holland, MI

Responsibilities of the Assistant Janitorial Manager

• Ensure all routes are covered each night
• Train New Hires
• Conduct employee performance reviews
• Conduct nightly walk-through inspections
• Report open positions to hiring manager
• Assistant managers are also expected to clean on a regular basis. Cleaning duties may include (but are not limited to):
  • Clean and restock restrooms
  • Empty Trash recepticles
  • Dust office equipment
  • Wipe down hard surfaces 
  • Vaccum, sweep, mop floors
  • Clean interior windows/ doors

Job Skills / Requirements

Requirements of Custodian/Janitor:

• Prior Janitorial experience preferred
• Prior Management experience preferred
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK & Fingerprinting

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions. 

Additional Information / Benefits

Compensation for Custodian/Janitor position:

$18.00-19.00/per hour, depending on experience/account

Shifts available: Afternoons, Evenings (2nd shift)

This position is Full time.
