Technical Environmental Services is seeking candidates for an hourly position in support of environmental, health, and safety projects in the Greater New Orleans and Greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana area.
The function of the EHS Technician is to perform duties related to hazardous waste, asbestos, lead, mold, RCRA inspections/surveys, industrial hygiene, and safety. This is an entry-level position and will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to hone their skills in an environment that is built upon continuing professional development.
As an entry level Technician, TES will teach you how to perform these services. We will provide you the knowledge to succeed in this career path. You need to bring a can-do attitude and live our six core values.
You will report into many different workplaces in the region. From local government buildings, schools, chemical plants, oil refineries, and the private sector.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 0-2 years of experience performing EHS responsibilities (preferred);
- High school diploma;
- The ability to show up on time (required);
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills (required);
- Trustworthy and dependable (required);
- Reliable transportation (required);
- Ability to lift 50 lb. containers (required); and,
- Meet the standards of our core values (required).
