SEJ Services is in search for an energetic, eager-to-learn, organized and dependable person to take on the role of Office Administrator in our Corporate Office located in North Charleston near Tanger Outlets. We are a privately-owned commercial facility services company headquartered in South Carolina and operating in states across the Southeast. Office Administrator Position:
This role will provide strong administrative support, empowering team members to perform their jobs productively and efficiently. This includes a wide range of administrative tasks to support our Corporate Office staff and our Operations Team working in multiple states. This role is in-office with standard office hours M-F from 8:30AM-5:30PM EST. Please note, this is not a remote position. This position reports to the Employee Experience Manager.
 
Duties to Include:
  • Support staff as needed by completing various general administrative tasks such as creating documents, proofreading, sending communications, and filing
  • Ensure all office visitors feel welcome and comfortable
  • Greet office callers, answering any questions and transferring calls to the appropriate lines
  • Keep all office supplies stocked by purchasing and managing inventory
  • Keep all office equipment in working order by working with various vendors and ensuring routine maintenance and inspections are performed.
  • Implement office processes designed to maximize efficiency
  • Perform daily inspections of the office to make sure cleanliness and safety standards are met and submit work orders for any deficiencies found. Office must be presentable and clean at all times.
  • Manage company-wide communications, such as memos, announcements, and invitations
  • Maintain a master calendar of company events, team-building activities, and conference room bookings
  • Help schedule company-wide events and meetings that take place in shared spaces, ensuring no overlap
  • Help various management team members plan and schedule travel activity and bookings
  • Support the management of our uniform inventory and procurement system
  • Drive company-owned SUVs regularly to run errands and for maintenance service appointments
 
Skills/Qualifications:

  • A warm and inviting personality to greet visitors to the Corporate Office
  • A presentable, professional appearance – neat and clean. Corporate Office attire is business casual.
  • A positive outlook, ability to clearly communicate, a sense of urgency, adaptiveness, the willingness to learn and be productive with an attentive, humble attitude
  • Prior experience in Office Administration preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail - thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks
  • Strong organizational skills - ability to multi-task, plan proactively and prioritize
  • Ability to work well on a team.
  • Ability to sit for the majority of a workday. Stand-up desks available.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20lbs and carry out tasks that require bending, lifting, walking, stocking supplies and performing various facility maintenance tasks depending on the assignment
  • Experience in Microsoft Office 365 preferred
  • Associate's Degree or higher preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $21-$24/hour depending on experience.
  • 401(k) Plan: Eligible at hire. Enrollment is in July and January. Company matches 100% of deferrals up to 4% of compensation.
  • PTO accrued after one year of service.
  • Health Insurance: If eligible, coverage is effective the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Company offers medical, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability, accident, and critical illness coverage. Company covers $265/month of the cost for employee-only medical coverage.
