Job Skills / Requirements

Position Summary: Leads are responsible for the day-to-day Janitorial operations and activities to ensure conformance to contract requirements. Performs supervisory and routine janitorial activities at an assigned building, hospital, warehouse, shopping mall, school or other facility to maintain buildings, common areas, locker rooms and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly and secure condition. Oversees inspections, quality control measures, and the inventory control of equipment and supplies for the assigned building. Responsible for client communication and satisfaction, working closely and directly with clients on a daily basis.  MUST BE BILINGUAL

 

Essential Functions:

  • Interface with maintenance staff to coordinate and execute cleaning projects
  • Complete all quality control programs in accordance with company guidelines
  • Maintain all compliance and safety regulations
  • Ensure that services are performed as contracted and at the intended profit margins.
  • Control supplies, equipment, and personnel necessary to meet customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot potential problems and concerns.
  • Conduct quality of service inspections at assigned buildings. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local government regulations. 
  • Train and provide work direction to assigned employees; assign and review the work of others.  
  • Plans and implements appropriate response to emergency situations.  
  • Perform routine janitorial activities such sweep, scrub, mop, wax and polish floors and vacuum rugs and carpets in assigned work areas; spot clean and shampoo carpets. 
  • Sweep, mop and clean floors as assigned; spot mop spills and remove gum and debris.
  • Clean and disinfect drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, showers and urinals; clean mirrors, tile and windows. 
  • Report safety, sanitary and fire hazards to appropriate authority; report and recommend need for maintenance repairs to appropriate authority; report infractions of rules to supervisor. 
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor stripper, buffer and polisher, carpet shampooer, scrubbers and power blower as assigned. 
  • Respond to emergency cleanups such as spills and bodily fluids. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Maintain regular attendance.
