We pride ourselves on delivering tailored security solutions with professionalism, reliability, and expertise.IPS is currently seeking a Fire Life Safety Director (FLSD) for a Full Time and Part Time positions.

Location: Downtown, Manhattan

Salary: $26.00 per hour

Full Time Schedule available: 

  • Sunday: 3:00pm to 11:00pm and 11:00pm to 7:00am  + Monday to Wednesday: 11:00pm to 7:00am.

Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn 

Salary: $27.00 per hour.

Full Time and Part Time Schedules available: 

  • Thursday to Sunday: 7:00am to 3:00pm 
  • Tuesday to Saturday: 11:00pm to 7:00am
  • Sunday and Monday 11:00pm to 7:00am

Requirements:

  • Valid FDNY Fire and Life Safety Director Certificate of Fitness (F-89, T-89, or Z-89 Certificate of Completion) issued by the New York City Fire Department.
  • Valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and emergency procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and lead during emergency situations.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate the Fire Command Center and building fire alarm systems.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and safety incidents.
  • Implement and maintain the building’s Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plan.
  • Coordinate emergency responses with the New York City Fire Department and other first responders.
  • Conduct fire drills and safety training for staff and tenants.
  • Maintain accurate incident reports and inspection logs.
  • Ensure compliance with NYC fire safety codes and regulations.
  • Perform routine inspections of fire safety systems and equipment.
